Take it from me, I've been a swimmer since a young age. You're not alone at this new experience. And don't listen to people who post that you should be ashamed or whatever. They're just trolling, or they're uptight, prude religious freaks who live in denial about how the human body is. Wearing a Speedo is nothing to be embarrassed about.
Your penis will not "come out" of your Speedo if your Speedo is the right size fit. If you're going to be around other guys in Speedos, many of them will be as self-conscious as you are, and won't be paying half as much attention to your "thing" as they will to their own. People usually don't want other people to catch them looking at a guy's genitals while he's wearing a Speedo... so even if you do catch someone "peeking" at your "package", you'll be the last one to notice, and they'll usually turn their heads.
Don't be alarmed by it! It's human nature! It's usually because they're not used to seeing guys wearing such small swim wear. Or maybe they've known you for a while and never seen you in a Speedo (friends, family, girlfriends, etc), so it's new to them. A lot of times people are embarrassed to admit to being curious about the human body. Notice what I said: "curious about", not "attracted to". There's a big difference -- and America is one of the few places with cultural taboos about Speedos and males in such small swim wear!
Even if the Speedo is white, you probably won't be able to see through it any more when it's wet than when it's dry. Some briefs are especially designed for this, but not briefs made for swimming, diving and things like that. You'd have to get a wet transparent sort of brief from like a specialty shop that caters more to "adult" shoppers, and sport briefs made by major brands like Speedo, Adidas, TYR, Nike (etc.) are made for swimming, not for showing off the goods.
Although you may be scared you'll get an erection and that people might notice, you probably won't. You'll probably be too focused on whatever you're involved in, as will everyone else... and once you get used to the idea of wearing a Speedo (as the more experienced guys you'll sell will be), you won't be thinking much about how you look in it, compared to how it fits, feels and drags in the water! As a swimmer, my suit is about how it performs, not how it looks on me!
Even if you did, /self-conscious to pop a stiffy while you wear your Speedo. Embarrassment has a tendency to cause one to lose his erection. But take it from me... most people probably won't notice if you do get a little bit of a hard-on, since you are a male and are *expected* to budge from your Speedo... at least a little bit.
After all, there's only a thin layer of spandex or Lycra and netting between your penis and balls and the outside world!
If you still don't feel comfortable about people seeing your manhood bulge out, remember this: the bulge is very deceptive, and things aren't always as big as people might think from the sight of you! You may end up attracting more than you expected!
Most guys who'd make fun of other guys for wearing a Speedo (by saying you're gay for it) won't man up enough to wear it themselves! They use it as a defense: "Naw, I'm not gay like you!" They're more self-conscious and uncomfortable with their own sexuality than you are!

Most white Speedos are double lined. Mine is. Should be no problem showing through. But, Speedos do enhance your bulge. That is what I like about wearing them. I suggest you wear your "equipment" in the pointed down position. That being said, your "equipment" will do what it wants and if the time comes when "it" is standing straight up, don't lose your cool. I have done my share of laps in public/hotel pools and have seen my share of "rods" in a guy's Speedo, as well as having my "rod" develop an erection.
Revealing your "equipment" in your Speedo is a male difficulty. But, you may be interested to know that most people do not notice. I have worn my briefs, boxers, etc for swimsuits at hotels, etc and have noticed that very few people notice. This is because you are in the water a lot and, if you get our, who cares?
