I have metal spikes baseball cleats can I wear them to football, football season is coming up and I wanna save some money, do I need to buy football cleats or can I use my Nike baseball metal spike cleats for football?
I would not recommend using metal spiked baseball cleats for football, the traction needed for both sports is different and you will most likely ruin your baseball cleats within a month of playing ball. if your looking to save money, check out sites like Football America or take a glance at a store like Ross, i got a nice pair of Nike Speed D's for 10 bucks
Answer this from another perspective: could you wear tennis shoes used in the Wimbledon or French Open Tennis matches for Football: no.
Therein lies your answer.
Keep your cleats sports specific.
NOTE: while Baseball cleats are "similar to" Football cleats insofar as they have cleats, there are still obvious differences to their structural makeup and for safety reasons (metal spikes) you will be immediately required to REMOVE them in haste.
If you are playing in some back-town field that is not official, and you are merely playing with a few friends and there are no spectators, then by all means wear what ever you want.
But officially, no, Baseball cleats are not constructed for Football fields. The CLOSEST non-football cleats you could p-o-s-s-i-b-l-y sneak into a Football game would be Soccer/Football cleats.
Personally, I do not recommend wearing your baseball cleats for football. Instead, I highly recommend getting a new pair of Adidas AdiZero 5-star cleats. In my opinion, this is the best pair of cleats ever.
By the way, you should be able to find a pair at your local Kohl's, or sporting good store, at a much cheaper price.
i dont think u can wear metal spikes in highschool football well u cant in cali but if your a skill position i would say its ok i was a WR , CB and i use to wear soccer cleats and alot of people on my team bought them to more comfortable out QB was the only person i knew who played in baseball cleats but he a scrambler and they never slowed him down
You can't use metal spike cleats for football for safety reasons.
You can't use metal spikes except in track or baseball.. You'll have to buy some football cleats.. Good luck..
